School Readiness Program

Starting school is a big step…

Research suggests that all children meet different developmental milestones both in physical and mental growth.  So all children are not recommended to start school at the same age because they may not be ready to cope with the social and emotional demands of school. Keep in mind there are certain local laws to start school at certain age, please follow that.

However if think your child is smart AND mature enough to start school early, should you really hold them back?  All of this makes the decision to begin school a very important one to get right! AWC Dubai helps children get mentally ready to tackle school.

Here are three reasons to consider a school readiness assessment:

  • Discover your child’s learning potential
  • Get expert advice on their readiness for school
  • Make an informed decision about starting school

What Does a School Readiness Assessment Involve?

You will receive:

  • An initial review of your child’s cognitive, social, family and emotional history
  • Standardised cognitive (intelligence) test
  • Standardised Developmental Assessment
  • School Readiness Checklist
  • Detailed assessment report
  • Tailored learning recommendations for school and home
  • A comprehensive feedback session to answer all your questions
  • A letter of school readiness eligibility to start school (beginners)
