I am Mrs. Carla Chedid, a Lebanese senior clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience in mental health. My journey in this field has equipped me with extensive knowledge in assessment and therapy, supported by a second BA in psychomotor therapy from Saint-Joseph University. I earned my BA in psychology from the Lebanese American University and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Haigazian University. Additionally, I completed a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at La-Croix Hospital in affiliation with Saint-Anne Hospital in France and attended specialized workshops at the Beck Institute in Pennsylvania, focusing on depression and anxiety.
In my practice, I adopt an eclectic approach, drawing from various therapeutic schools, including CBT, relaxation, schema therapy, and play therapy for children, among others. I have worked with numerous cases involving anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, sexual abuse, burnout, stress, mood disorders, and learning difficulties.
A key aspect of my work is adapting my therapeutic approach to culturally diverse populations. I am a member of the Lebanese Order of Psychologists, the International Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapists, and a member in the American psychological association.
