Psychology, Counseling

Our well-being is largely centered around our behaviors and the relationships we nurture. I strongly believe working to improve these enriches the quality of life we, and those around us, enjoy.

As a mother, wife, daughter, friend, and colleague, I aim to practice what I preach and am honored to spend my days helping others in need. When working with my patients, I follow an empathetic yet research-driven approach to situations that can seem to be getting the best of us.

My understanding of day-to-day life has been influenced by my experiences living in different countries and being bilingual in English and Arabic. These have both taught me how our environments can impact us through even the smallest details, but we all have our humanity in common, and we share the same basic needs for a quality life. I feel my role is to encourage and support my clients in making necessary changes in their lives to better achieve that quality, while they begin to realize their full potential. I deliver this support in a safe and confidential setting.

Education, Training, and Methods

I’m proud to be a counselor specializing in children, adolescents, parents, and families. My early career began at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles, USA, where I earned my B.A. in Psychology followed by an M.A. with Honors Distinction in Child and Family Therapy from the USA’s University of Southern California.

With training and experience in the field, I have worked with individuals of all ages. I find it particularly rewarding to work with children and adolescents who experience a range of socio-emotional, academic, and behavioral challenges across all developmental stages. I also work with youth who are gifted in their abilities and help them understand how to better use their strengths. My approach to working with children and families is both empathetic yet practical, as I incorporate the latest research in my evidence-based treatment.

In my role at the American Wellness Center, I provide patients with a safe and confidential therapeutic relationship to help them live their best life. I offer highly-personalized consultations, psychoeducational assessments, and individual and group therapy. When I’m not working on a one-to-one basis, I enjoy leading workshops and giving presentations in our community.

Being fluent in both Arabic and English, I enjoy serving the UAE, but am also sought-after by patients across the Middle East. I am licensed in both the UAE and USA.
