+20 YearsClinical Psychologist
I am a dedicated Clinical Psychologist licensed to practice in Ontario, Canada since 2009, Florida, USA since 2010, and in Dubai Healthcare City, UAE, also beginning in 2010. My academic journey in psychology commenced at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I earned my BS in Psychology in 1996. My passion for understanding the human mind and its behavior propelled me to further my studies at the University of Miami, Florida, where I obtained my MSEd in Mental Health Counseling in 2000, followed by a PhD in Counseling Psychology in 2004.
My commitment to specialized expertise in pediatric psychology was furthered through post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2006 and at the University of Toronto's Sick Kids Hospital in 2008. These experiences not only honed my clinical skills but also instilled in me a profound understanding of the complexities of child and adolescent psychology.
Since 2010, I have been serving as a Clinical Psychologist in Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), where my practice is grounded in ethics, evidence-based research, and a client-centered approach. My philosophy extends to leadership, emphasizing growth, development, and well-being for both clients and our Adolescent Wellness Clinic (AWC) team.
In my role at AWC, I am committed to fostering a collaborative environment among clinicians, educators, parents, and students, aligning with our vision to achieve daily progress and success. Outside of my professional life, I am a wife and mother to two boys, with personal interests that include reading, sports, and spending quality time with my family at the beach.
