As a neurologist with over two decades of experience, my journey in the medical field has been profoundly enriching and diverse. I embarked on this path by graduating from Madurai Medical College, India, in 1986, and subsequently, I attained my post-graduation in internal medicine in 1993, followed by a DM in neurology in 1999 from the same institution. My quest for knowledge and expertise didn't stop there; I further honed my skills in epilepsy, sleep medicine, and neurovascular diagnostics across the UK and USA, embracing the global standards of neurological care.
My early career was distinguished by a passionate commitment to teaching and mentoring postgraduate students in clinical medicine and neurology. Recognizing the importance of research, I also contributed as a research guide under the Indian Council of Medical Research, focusing on genetic factors in epilepsy syndromes. Since 2003, I have been practicing in Dubai, where I continue to apply my extensive knowledge and experience to treat patients with a wide range of neurological conditions.
I was honored with the World Federation of Neurology fellowship in 1997 and was listed in Marquis Who's Who in 2003 for my professional achievements. My belief in the transformative power of technology in clinical practice has led me to become certified in machine learning, and I am currently awaiting a patent for my invention of an artificial olfactory system in the USPTO.
My clinical interests are broad, including headache, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, stroke, and cranial and peripheral nerve disorders. I am proficient in conducting EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and evoked potentials, aiming to provide the most comprehensive care to my patients.
