I am a UK qualified Speech & Language Therapist, graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University.

I am an adult specialist Speech & Language Therapist with 11 years of experience working in the UK and the UAE. I have worked in a variety of settings including:

  • Acute and Community hospitals
  • Specialist Inpatient Stroke Unit
  • Post-acute Rehabilitation Inpatient hospital
  • Outpatient Clinics
  • Client home services
I have specialist experience and skills in:
  • Stroke Intensive Rehabilitation I have experience working in a specialist stroke multidisciplinary team offering intensive speech and language goal centred therapy.
  • Stammering (Adolescents and adults) I managed the local service for this population in the UK and was featured in ‘The National’ newspaper in the UAE for ‘International Stammering Awareness Day’. I have participated in the UK ‘Giving Voice’ campaign to educate and raise awareness about stammering and continue to attend specialist courses led by City Lit (UK) and Barry Guitar.
  • Voice  I am dedicated in helping people to restore and preserve their voice from conditions such as Vocal Cord Nodules, Vocal Cord Polyps, Vocal Cord cysts, Vocal cord Palsy/Paralysis.

    I have completed introductory courses in Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focussed Brief Therapy to integrate a range of therapy principles in my intervention and treatment.
